The National Highways and Motorway Police has announced traffic closures on major routes from the evening of September 23, 2026.
The M-1 will remain closed to all traffic in both directions from the Islamabad Toll Plaza to the Chach Interchange. The closure will also affect the Islamabad Toll Plaza, Fateh Jang/Tarnol Interchange, Sangjani/AWT Interchange, Brahma Bahter Interchange, Burhan Interchange, Hazara Motorway Interchange, Ghazi Interchange and Chach Interchange.
The M-14 will also close in both directions from Hakla to Kundal. The closure will affect Hakla, Fateh Jang, Pindi Gheb, Kharpa, Tarap, Daud Khel, Kot Belian, Isa Khel and Kundal interchanges.
The National Highways and Motorway Police also said the GT Road (N-5) will close in both directions at Attock Khurd from the evening of September 23.
The closures will affect all types of traffic.
