17 Women Arrested From Honey Trap Call Center in Lahore

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested 26 people, including 17 women, during raids on two call centers in Lahore over alleged online fraud.

According to the agency, one operation targeted a suspected honey-trap scheme in which women allegedly contacted men online and persuaded them to join intimate video calls to obtain money.

Officials seized 35 mobile phones and two laptops during the raid. The agency said the suspects used explicit conversations and video interactions to lure victims.

In a separate operation, NCCIA raided a call center in Allama Iqbal Town accused of defrauding foreign nationals through offers of mobile phones and communication packages.

Investigators said victims were asked to make payments but never received the promised phones. Instead, they were allegedly given excuses and repeatedly revised delivery dates.

Nine men were arrested in connection with that operation, while 10 mobile phones and five laptops were seized.

Cases have been registered in both investigations, and officials are questioning the suspects. Forensic examinations of the recovered devices are also underway to establish how the alleged schemes operated.

The accusations remain under investigation, and the arrests do not establish the suspects’ guilt.
