A modern 110-bed Category-C hospital has been completed and made operational in Balakot, expanding healthcare services for local residents and tourists visiting the Kaghan and Naran valleys.
The Planning and Development Department completed the hospital in collaboration with the relevant department on the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi. The project cost Rs. 924.5 million.
The hospital offers General Surgery, General Medicine, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Orthopaedics, Trauma and Emergency Services, a Labour Room, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dental Services.
Located at the gateway to the Kaghan and Naran valleys, the facility will provide medical and emergency services to local residents and domestic and foreign tourists throughout the year.
The new hospital will expand healthcare capacity in the area and provide timely treatment during emergencies. It will also reduce the burden on District Headquarters Hospital Mansehra and other major healthcare facilities.
